A Storybook Baby Shower

When I found out my friend and co-worker was pregnant back in November, I knew right away that I wanted to be involved in her baby shower. She has no family in the area, just like me, and we are pretty much the same person in every aspect. She has been my saving grace in every area of my life over the past year, and it was the simplest thing I could do to thank her for our friendship.

When deciding on themes, I wanted her input for sure! However, I made sure I was able to present the ideas to her with examples of details we would carry through. I was secretly hoping she would pick the storybook theme, yes it was selfish of me. BUT she is a freaking teacher! So I knew it would be perfect!

Stacy is loved by many, so without a doubt we had plenty of help. We decided on a date, location and that was that! We chose the Log Cabin located on the Marine Corps Air Station here on base. It was fantastic! We were able to use the tables and chairs that were already there, as well as the sink, ice machine and fridge. I would highly suggest it since Beaufort is definitely limited in its options.

I am going to simply tell the rest of the story through pictures:) A friend from high school opened her own Etsy shop, and provided me with the lovely labels, straws and banner. She did a great job, and I would highly recommend her! Her shop is called Let’s Get Decorative!

Our other game we played was a Daddy Knows Best Survey. Where I had asked the Dad 20 questions before about cravings, expecting the baby, the first few years of the Baby's life, etc. I had all of the guests give us their best answers, and then we had Stacy give us her answers, followed by her husbands:)

  5. I was wondering if you still had the questions you asked the Daddy…I am hosting a shower tomorrow and was wanting to do the same thing! I’m a teacher too, and this is my favorite shower theme, but you outdid yourself…your friend is one lucky girl!!! 🙂
