Vintage Sports Themed Baby Shower

We all know how much I love throwing a party, especially when it is someone I adore! As soon as I found out my husband’s cousin, Kate, was pregnant, I jumped at the chance to throw her a shower with my mother in law. Kate and AJ (her husband)’s wedding was the first big event I went to on my husband’s side of the family. I knew then that the family is amazing and loves to go to a good party. Here are some pictures from the shower!

Baby shower food with a twist! I wanted to include a fun spin on the menu, so I included items Kate was craving. Pb&J sandwiches, French fries and anything mint:)

We didn’t want to have too many games, so we did the how big is mommy game, where we all guessed how big around Kate was….which we all overestimated! She is one small pregnant lady:) We also had all of the guests sign a book for the Baby.

This has become a staple at my showers I plan, what better way to remember who all was at the shower than with a nighttime story.

We all know for my decorations I usually use Let’s Get Decorative and Rachel exceeds my expectations EVERY time. I was born with the eye to dream up decorations, but definitely not the skill to put it to paper. I am a big picture type of girl:) My greek little sister from college recently did the decorations for my friend Mary’s Baby Shower and I fell in love with them. I told her how she could certainly turn this into a business, and she really wanted do my next party, so it kind of worked out! If you want to get in touch with her, email me at anfaubion@gmail.com and I will pass her info along! I highly recommend buying decorations from a small business than Party City. It really adds a touch to the social event that is so personalized and shows time and planning was put into the event. (Rachel is venturing into the world of invitations!! So excited!)

Here are some of the decorations:
