Woah! Her second month was one of my favorites…..it included Christmas, lots of family and her personality is truly starting to shine. She started smiling around 5-6 weeks, and hasn’t stopped! She is such a ham…..takes after me, her cousin Avery and her Great Grandma Vance for sure. She is still loving tummy time a little too much. I let her take naps on her tummy if I am sitting right next to her staring at her closely. She has found her hand and loves sucking on her palm. It is the sweetest sound. She is truly amazing. (This has also made me realize I am THAT mom).
She is sleeping from about 11pm-11:30am with feedings around 4am and 9:30am. I really want her to start going to bed a little earlier and have tried a few things, but it doesn’t seem to work so I am just going to let whatever happens happen! She still co-sleeps with me, but we have put her to sleep in her bassinet a few times and she does great. She just really prefers her side or tummy which is the issue. During the day she naps in her swing, playpen or in my arms!
She is doing great! She took one bottle at 4.5 weeks from her Daddy, just to start her to get used to it. Hopefully this means she will be great when I go back to work. I haven’t really pumped much simply because it is annoying and we have been travelling. Collier, Heather and I had food poisoning after my cousin’s wedding, I got it first and having to nurse in the middle of it was probably the hardest thing I have done so far with Aveline….She was a champ though, slept through the night with the whole thing happening and then was perfect during a long car ride to south Florida.
- She loved staring at the Christmas lights! Hopefully she enjoys the holidays as much as we do. Her middle name is Noelle for a reason:)
- I can’t believe how much she is smiling. And she is starting to react to our voices, so sweet.
- She is starting to grab things and loving her activity mat.
- So much more but I am going to just let the pictures tell the story!
